What's The Right Question?

The other day someone asked me what is the best restaurant in my neighborhood. This was the perfect opening to explain a key premise behind dishtip. Is asking the question, 'what is the best restaurant' even relevant anymore? My response to the question was...best restaurant for what? French onion soup? Chicken Wings? Prime Rib? Seared Tuna? Crepes? You get the point. So....what is the right question to ask when it comes to figuring out what to eat and where?

  1. perfect example about getting to the dish-level. let's say you want a REALLY good salad (I live in San Francisco). I would not think to ask about the best 'Burmese' restaurant. but, I just did a search for best salad in San Francisco and the tea leaf salad at Burma Superstar looks amazing! http://www.dishtip.com/food/search?what=salad&where=san+francisco&_f=form&forceRestaurantId=
